The SERVPRO® Duct Cleaning Process

  • We remove your vent covers and returns are then thoroughly clean them to remove any dirt build-up.

  • A trained Franchise Professional will use a high-powered vacuum system to pull debris out of your ducts and returns back to our filtration system. The air is filtered, removing 99.97% of particles in the airstream.

  • We go to each vent and using our tools, we agitate and remove debris from each part of the duct work. The tool chosen is based on your type of ducting. The tools we use can include compressed air or another tool, much like a whip, that uses “tentacles” to loosen and remove years of debris.

  • We mist an EPA registered antimicrobial agent into the duct work while it is still under vacuum pressure. This is the same agent used for water damage restoration and mold remediation. Misting this agent in your ducts helps to eliminate bacteria and mold.

  • The final step is to apply duct sealer to create a mold and mildew resistant barrier between your living and non-living spaces. Also, if you have replacement filters we'll install them at no cost!
