Cleaning Do You Have Dirty Ducts? Call today to have your ducts inspected!

Improve Your Indoor Air Quality With Duct Cleaning.

Did you know your ventilation system is often the biggest culprit in poor indoor air quality? Inspecting the ductwork in your facility or home should be a high priority. In most cases, the HVAC system has been operating for some time without much attention. Dirty ducts can circulate odors, contaminants, such as mold, and irritating dust throughout your building or home.

A routine part of your local SERVPRO of Cumberland County's service is inspecting the heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit (HVAC). Keeping the HVAC and ductwork clean can potentially extend the life-span of the equipment by allowing it to operate at peak condition, which may help save you money.

Keep the air in your home or business healthy. Have a Franchise Professional inspect your HVAC system and ductwork. We'll make the necessary recommendations about the best way to address any indoor air quality concerns. This inspection can help save you money and provide peace of mind on the health of your HVAC system and ductwork.

In some circumstances, such as after a fire, smoke or suspected mold growth, duct cleaning becomes an essential part of the cleanup process. In these cases, your Franchise Professionals at SERVPRO of Cumberland County can often restore the HFAC system and ductwork to pre-damage condition.

If you have a fuel-burning furnace, stove or fireplace, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends they be inspected and be serviced before each heating season to protect against carbon monoxide poisoning.

The SERVPRO Duct Cleaning System is proven and cost-efficient. Unlike the majority of duct cleaning services, we use a portable ventilation and air duct cleaning system to examine ductwork and make a clean sweep, removing years of dust and grime.

  • The process begins by using patented equipment, including a roto-scraper, which automatically adapts to the duct's shape and diameter while traveling through the duct, removing debris and filth before vacuuming begins.
  • Next, a powerful pushy-pull air delivery and collection system transfers the debris from the ducting to a 16-gallon container.
  • Air is filtered through a HEPA filtration system, removing 99.97% of the particles in the airstream. HEPA filters capture debris and keep the indoor environment clean.
  • As an optional process, a sealant or coating power product may be sprayed to address odor or microbial concerns.
  • Filters will either be cleaned or replaced to remove odor and dirt.

We are local and serve Bridgeton, Millville, Vineland, and surrounding areas in Cumberland County. For more information on duct cleaning, or to schedule an appointment, contact SERVPRO of Cumberland County today! Call 856-692-0041 or EMAIL.

3 Reasons It Pays to Hire Professionals for Residential Spring Cleaning

5/8/2018 (Permalink)

Every spring, Americans break out their cleaning supplies to give their homes a much-needed deep clean after winter fades away. But as refreshing as spring cleaning can be, some tasks can involve more work than you bargain for. Fortunately, if you’re facing a tough chore that needs a professional touch, you can hire a residential restoration service to get your living space in tip-top shape. To help you achieve a fresher, healthier home, here are a few ways these specialists can simplify the process.

How Can a Residential Restoration Service Help With Spring Cleaning?

  1. Duct Cleaning

Changing out your HVAC’s air filter every 90 days keeps your family from breathing in dust and other contaminants. Unfortunately, if you have a ventilated system, debris can also collect along the ducts, possibly impacting your air quality and increasing allergy and asthma risks. Since the spaces can be incredibly hard to reach, it’s better to hire a professional duct cleaning crew to wipe down surfaces and eliminate buildup.

  1. Drapery Cleaning

While many fabrics used in window drapes are designed to resist stains and maintain color, they can still get quite dirty since they’re exposed to soil and dust in the air. You should have the drapery cleaned every two years to avoid these problems. Backed with advanced equipment, residential restoration services can make the job easier by gently steam cleaning these fabrics to extend their life span and help you avoid costly replacement.

  1. Carpet Cleaning

Regular vacuuming is essential for removing loose soil and debris from carpet fibers. But even with this upkeep, your carpets might be dirtier than they look — especially after a winter full of heavy foot traffic. Professional carpet cleaning crews are equipped to tackle all types of carpets by offering a variety of specialized techniques, such as hot water extraction and deluxe preconditioning. In addition to keeping your floor looking fresh, these services help eliminate odors as well as extend the life of the carpet.

If you have a long list of spring cleaning tasks to tackle, turn to SERVPRO® of Cumberland County to lighten the load. As the premier commercial and residential restoration service of Cumberland County, we offer a variety of deep cleaning services that will refresh your air ducts, furniture, carpets, drapes, and more. In addition to this comprehensive care, our crews are equipped to help with water damage and mold remediation when springtime rainstorms strike. Visit them online to learn more about their cleaning and restoration solutions, and call (856) 692-0041 to schedule fast, affordable service.

THE SERVPRO DUCT CLEANING PROCESS

The SERVPRO® Duct Cleaning Process

  • Vent covers and returns are removed and thoroughly cleaned to remove any build-up that has accumulated.

  • A highly-trained technician will attach a high-powered vacuum system to your air duct system. This will create a vacuum in your ducting and returns, and pulls the collected debris to our filtration system. Air is filtered through a HEPA filtration system, removing 99.97% of particles in the airstream.

  • Going to each vent, we use one of our tools to agitate and remove debris from each branch of the duct work. We select the tool we use based on your type of ducting. These can include compressed air or a whip, that uses “tentacles” to agitate years of debris.

  • While your system is still under vacuum pressure, we mist in an EPA registered antimicrobial agent into the duct work. This is the same agent we use during water damage or mold remediation losses. By using this, we help eliminate mold and bacteria.

  • Finally, duct sealer is applied to create a mold and mildew resistant barrier between living and non-living spaces.

If you have replacement filters on site, we will be more than happy to install them at no additional cost. Call 856-692-0041 for more information.
